But acutally it's sort of nice to wake up before the sun's out once in a while. It was strange yet comforting to feel the busy morning street: all the joggers, dog walkers, sleepy little kids, damp grass, dim sky, Xmas lights, street lamps, and crispy air. Hey it's gonna be a good day, I said to myself.

I got a small dental surgery this morning. For comfort, one shut the eyes and distracted self with random thoughts... "Hum, the numbing medicine is peach flavored! Is it even called numbing medicine? Whatever. Is horny toad really horny? Or is it horned toad? Gosh I haven't been horny lately. I bet the best way to lower your sex drive is to take a karate class with thirty hairy and sweaty and over-weighted men. Not gonna go out with anyone that has a big belly, ever. Damn I am vain. Hey, peach flavor still. Wait, what did he mean by '2 by 2'? Oh shoot that's my blood. You're not peeking again, girl! Oh what if he did a terrible job and I'll lose my ability to smile forever? Nobody will ever love me again! Even the ones with huge bellies!! Damn don't you fucking play Xmas songs on the radio? No, I'll totally sue him. Damn, I am so fucking going to sue him."
"Okay, you're done. See it's not so bad isn't it? Yada yada yada. All right?"

It's kind of a gloomy day today, so when we ran into Santa Clause on our way back from lunch, I was gladly surprised. We knew he's not working today for there was no red suit nor hat. The Vegas-Zion-Grand Canyon trip in a nutshell:
11/28
Was amazed. Sin City looked swell at night. Got lost in the hotel but managed to have a Thanksgiving buffet after a two-hour wait. (Which, sadly, did not feature lobster.)
11/29
Zion was simply gorgeous! Loved the combination of cactus and tiramisu mountain.
11/30
Saw lots of snow and rain and fog and haze, but little Grand Canyon. Very much disappointed. Freezed.
12/1
Spent 13 hours stuck in the traffic (Thanks guys for driving!) We traveled a total over 1,800 mi, wow.

(Hey overall it's still great fun! So no complaints :-)
